Welcome to our Sunday readings and sermon. Today we remember in the Church Crispin and Crispinian who were shoemakers and lived in the 3rd century. They were reputed to have preached the Christian faith in Gaul whilst exercising their trade and so, like St Paul earning his living as a tent-maker, were no drain on the Christian community. They were put to death for their faith in about 287 in Rome. The service for All Saints Day next Sunday will be Morning Prayer at 11.00am Re

Welcome to our Sunday readings and sermon at Harvest. Sadly, we cannot have the usual gifts of fruit, vegetables and food which we pass on to those in need. However, we will be having a one-off collection for the Agricultural Chaplaincy in Cheshire. Some of you will have visited its stand at the Cheshire show in previous years and know something about the benefits it has for the farming community stretching from support for housing to personal and pastoral care for farmers. Welcome to our Sunday readings and sermon on the parable of the wicked tenants. This week the Church remembers in particular William Tyndale (b 1494), translator of the scriptures whose first translation of the bible in to contemporary English became the foundation of the Authorised Version. Our Harvest service is next Sunday October 11th. Sadly there will be no meal or refreshments and you will not need to bring produce. But, there will be an opportunity to bring a donation
