A Slightly Soggy Success

I suspect we can safely describe the last weekend as our "British Summer" Garden Trail. Sometimes glorious sunshine, sometime showers, sometimes a sideways monsoon we definitely needed the marquee at Tea With The Chickens and brollies in most of our gardens.

Our thanks to everyone who braved the weather. We hope you all enjoyed the gardens, refreshments and church stalls into which our volunteers put so much of their time. I am delighted to announce that thanks to their efforts and the generosity of our visitors we were able to raise just over £1600 for the Friends Charity - all of which will be invested into the fabric and surrounds of Saint Wenefrede's Church.

We're going to take a couple of weeks to recuperate - but it won't be long before we start planning our next major event. We will keep you posted.
