Lockdown Service - 20th September 2020

Welcome to our Sunday readings and sermon on the parable of the “Workers in the Vineyard.”

We are delighted that this day marks the day Bishop Mark Tanner started his public ministry as the Bishop of Chester. He was welcomed in to the Diocese by Dean Tim Stratford and others in the cathedral. The service was broadcast on YouTube in the afternoon.

This week the Church remembered several other Bishops who dedicated their lives to Christ:- Cyprian, Bishop of Carthage(258), Ninian Bishop of Galloway (432) and John Coleridge Patteson, Bishop of Melanaesia (1871)

Next Sunday’s service is at 11.00am at St Wenefrede’s Church

Everyone is most welcome. Social distancing rules apply and the latest guidelines ask people to wear a mask. Further notices are on signs within the church.

The transcript of our service is below for anyone unable to attend.
